As you all know, I’ve been documenting my reselling journey here on the blog (and on YouTube). So far I’ve shared some of my thrift store hauls and provided some tips and tricks for new eBay and PoshMark sellers. Now I would like to introduce a new series called “What Sold On eBay”.
Here I will share some actual sales from eBay so you can get a better perspective of the reselling business.
During these past 18 months, I’ve learned that every online seller runs their business differently. Some sellers have a large inventory and sell things fairly cheap from $15 to $20. There are also some sellers that only sell luxury items at much higher price points. Keep in mind, that their actual profit margins might not be as high after you consider their initial cost of goods. Meanwhile other resellers like myself are in the business of buying things low and selling them for at least a 50% net profit.

Fortunately, there is no right or wrong method when it comes to the reselling business. It truly comes down to buying and selling the type of items that you have access to. However, as you watch the video, you will quickly learn that I’m all about selling things as quickly as possible. Even if that means accepting offers that are lower than my initial asking price.
This is why I have adopted the slogan, “buy low, sell high, and sell fast!”
This method works best for me because it allows me to see a quicker return on my investment. Also, it allows me to continue to invest in myself and the business. And in my opinion, that is one of the most important aspects of this journey.
As always, thanks for reading and watching!
