I was recently contacted by the nice folks over at Jack Erwin to review one of their latest chelsea boots and after breaking them in over the past week, I think they are one of the best chelsea boots on the market!
Lately, I have been turning down several offers to review products on this blog in an effort to stay organic and maintain authenticity for my readers. However, when this offer came about I welcomed the opportunity because not only do these boots match my personal aesthetic, but they seemed extremely versatile and that is something I always consider when making a shoe purchase.
This time around I paired these Ellis Chelsea Boots with one of my favorite vintage suits. I really loved how my trousers were able to sit comfortably over the boots because finding a pair of boots with the right silhouette that can be worn with trousers and jeans is a difficult task (believe me I’ve been on the lookout for quite some time). Therefore, in terms of its versatility these boots were exactly what I’ve been looking for.
When it comes to sizing and overall comfort, these boots also perform very well. They fit true to size and the rubber soles make them extremely comfortable to wear over long periods of time. Also, since the soles are rubber you don’t have to worry if you get caught wearing them in rain. However, I would suggest waterproofing them beforehand to protect the suede.
Needless to say, I was very impressed with these boots and I know I will be wearing them quite often because I wear brown all the time and whenever I find a pair of shoes that I really like I tend to wear them over and over and over again!
