This past weekend I came home to visit my mother and enjoy the long holiday weekend. After shopping and joking around with my mom all day, my brother Rashawn asked if I wanted to do a photo shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge. Now although I have a mild fear of height’s, I was still excited to re-connect with my first photographer.
Rashawn works in the television industry and has worked for major networks such as BET, MTV, MTV2 and VH1. In fact, he finished shooting the new seasons of MTV Girl Code and Wild ‘N Out over the summer, and is currently working on the set of VH1’s Black Ink Crew. His story is definitely very inspiring. However, he is also a very talented photographer and was actually the first person to ever take my photos for the blog, seen here.
For someone that was raised in New York City, I must admit that it was my first time ever walking on the Brooklyn bridge, but it was a great experience and now I understand why it is such a huge tourist attraction. Rashawn had a great vision for the shoot and has inspired me to start thinking more creatively in terms of blog posts (more on that later).
