Fall Essentials: The Sweater Blazer

Anytime people think of California, they instantly think of Southern California where the sun is always shining and the weather is beautiful all year round. Unfortunately, that’s not the case in the Bay Area and the rest of Northern California because it definitely still gets cold here. Therefore, quality outerwear, sweaters, and even sweater blazers are essential for this time of the year.

So I partnered with my friends over at Banana Republic again to style one of my new favorite pieces from their latest collection!

In today’s menswear scene, the term comfortable is being thrown a lot. Brands are even starting to use softer fabrics and more relaxed fits.

Sure, this is great news if you work from home or your office environment is extremely casual, but what about those of us that want to dress comfortably and still maintain a professional image?

Thankfully, this sweater blazer gives the best of both worlds. In fact, it almost feels like I’m wearing pajamas, it’s just tailored and cozier!

Blue and grey are two colors that I wear often and even more frequently during this time of the year because it’s so versatile. This piece can easily be worn with brown or navy boots, a tailored henley, or you can even dress it up and wear a shirt and tie!

However, this time around I wanted to go with more of a monochromatic look so I paired it with a navy turtleneck sweater and some suede navy blue double monks. I even found a new pair of blue glasses to complete the look!
