One of my personal favorite shoe styles is a pair of leather loafers. However, loafers come in many different shapes, styles, and colors but the dressier Cohen loafer from Beckett Simonon stands out from the rest.
Even though, I’m not wearing suits as often I used to, I’m always on the hunt for a quality pair of loafers in a rich color that I can easily dress up or dress down!
Therefore, I got really excited when I added this pair to my personal collection. And the best part is that these shoes will adapt to the shape of my feet over time so I will definitely be wearing these as often as possible!
Just like all of my other shoes from Beckett Simonon, these loafers were ready to wear straight out of the box. Most high quality leather shoes need to be broken in and that can sometimes take 3-5 wears before they are actually comfortable.
However, this pair was the complete opposite. With a thinner saddle compared to some of my other loafers, the entire shoe appears to be slightly sleeker. Fortunately, it wasn’t too narrow like similar shoes that I owned in the past.
Also, in terms of fit this pair fit perfectly and I usually wear a 10.5 in other loafers, so i would suggest going a half size down, especially since they stretch and mold to your feet after a couple of wears!
Here are some other important details about the Cohen Loafer:
Each pair is handmade one at a time in small batches in order to save resources, produce less waste, which in turn helps customers save money.
They have a blake construction which means they have a sturdy and resoleable leather sole so you can basically wear these shoes until the wheels fall off and then resole them again!
It is constructed from full grain calf leather so the leather is soft, supple, and extremely comfortable.
Last but not least, they have suede heel patch to prevent slippage and chafing. Therefore, you can wear these loafers with no socks and still be comfortable or you can do what I did here, and rock some no-show socks instead!
