If you’re a longtime reader of the blog, you know that I’m not really into trends. However, if you’re like me you probably have a few pieces in your wardrobe that you’ve been wearing all the time. Therefore, even though it might not be trending in the “fashion world”, it’s definitely trending in your closet.
Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards the same few pieces and just mixing them up to avoid looking like a cartoon character. So here are 5 Springtime essentials that are currently trending, at least for me!
Field Jacket. Every season I have a few pieces that I can’t stop wearing. This year it has been this military inspired field jacket that I picked up from J.Crew. It’s lightweight and pairs well with almost everything in my wardrobe.
It’s essential during this time of the year to have some lightweight outerwear in your wardrobe to help combat all of this unpredictable Spring weather.
Crystal Frames. I actually purchased these frames a couple of years ago from Warby Parker but it took a while for me to get used to wearing them. I’ve learned from experience that choosing the right silhouette for your face can be a difficult task, especially if you’re ordering them online. Therefore, it’s best to stick with 2-3 styles that always look good on you (more on that later).
Denim Shirt. I will always love a well-fitting denim shirt. It’s a great layering piece for the Spring and they’re super comfortable as long as it’s constructed from a soft washed denim.
Pro-Tip: Similar to washing denim jeans, avoid putting your denim shirts in the dryer. This will help prevent them from shrinking and fading. I prefer to hang them up so they can dry naturally.
White Denim Jeans. It’s no surprise that I love wearing white denim jeans all-year round (as long as the weather permits). They’re super versatile and are usually my go-to option for those times when I can’t decide which jeans to wear.
Suede Chelsea Boots. You can never go wrong with a pair of suede chelsea boots for the Spring. In my opinion, they instantly take an outfit to the next level. I actually wear suede boots all year round, however I prefer darker colors in the fall and lighter colors in the Spring and Summer.
