It has been a while since I wore a full suit to work. Lately, I have been wearing separates and dressing more casual. It might be the result of the semester coming to a close and I have less important meetings to attend. Or maybe it’s because most of my suits are more fall and winter appropriate. Therefore, I decided to invest in some quality spring suits that are lighter in color and even lighter in fabric.
Yesterday I wore a denim jacket, a white oxford collar button shirt, grey checked trousers, and a pair of white leather Jack Purcells. As a result, some people said that they have not seen me that dressed down for work since my internship days. Therefore, I decided to go back to basics and wear one of my new favorite seasonal suits.
This fabric is 100% pure wool but it is extremely light. At first glance I thought there were hints of burgundy thread running through the fabric. But after a second look I realized it was just different shades of brown. Therefore, I felt that it was only right to wear a burgundy knit tie and oxblood oxfords to play on what I thought was burgundy.
