Nothing screams “ready for business” more than a chalk stripe suit. For some reason, I always associate chalk stripes with bankers and boardroom execs. In fact, every time I wear this suit, I feel like I should be hosting a meeting with the President of a Fortune 500 company.
It has been quite a while since the last time I wore this suit, seen here, because I hated the way the trousers draped over my shoes. Fortunately, I managed to taper the legs and add a 1 1/2 in. cuff. I also slimmed the body of the waistcoat so that it could create a more flattering silhouette.
Also, when wearing a power suit like this one, you should pair it with a no-nonsense briefcase to hold all of your important documents and or laptop.
