My background and passion is deeply rooted in Higher Education. I believe education is one of the strongest tools known to man. Therefore, its only natural that I aspire to teach at the college level. So this is my impression of an ideal professor’ outfit.
Tweed sport coats like this one have been worn by professors and doctors for decades. Although they were originally worn by outdoorsmen because the rugged cloth’s great wind and water resistant qualities made it an essential for shooting, fly-fishing and other country sport activities. According to legend, the name “tweed” came from a copying error. A London cloth merchant misspelled the Scottish word tweel, as tweed.
On another note, these jeans have recently been shortened and my tailor convinced me to keep the original hem. In other words, he shortened the length of my jeans and re-attached the original hem (more on this later).
