Day 2 of Pitti Uomo 92 was an even bigger success than the first day. My first day was extremely busy and filled with a bunch of meetings.
However, I spent the majority of day 2 connecting with some of the unfamiliar brands and meeting new people. I also just wanted to enjoy the moment because as a true fan of menswear, these type of events always leave me feeling inspired!
Pitti Uomo 92: Day 2
On my way to the Fortezza, I assumed that the streets were going to be swarming with “Pitti Peacocks” and tons of street style photographers because the first day wasn’t as busy as I expected.
I actually wasn’t sure if this year’s attendance was lower or if day 2 was actually going to be the main event. However, once I got to the Fortezza, I realized that day 2 is usually showtime for the peacocks!
There were hundreds of people posing awkwardly all over Pitti with the hopes of getting their photo taken. Meanwhile photographers from far and wide lined up to capture every moment.
Once again, I spent most of my day indoors trying to beat the heat and connecting with more menswear brands and other likeminded people.
For instance, while entering the main building, I finally met up with Wale, Founder of ACuratedMan. Wale was actually one of the first black menswear bloggers that I found back in 2012 and he is still one of my biggest style influences!
All in all, Pitti Uomo 92 was a huge success and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I plan on making Pitti a tradition because it’s definitely the place to be if you’re passionate about menswear!
