When choosing color combinations, the best advice I can give is to use nature as a source of inspiration. The fall is my favorite season not because I get to wear my favorite wool suits and leather jackets, but because of the natural color palettes that it provides.
The fall inspires me to play with the various shades of greens, browns, reds, and oranges that become more abundant as the leaves begin to change and eventually fall. In fact, just looking out the window first thing in the morning usually inspires my outfit for the day, or at least my color scheme.
These suede double monks from Zara will be in heavy rotation as the season continues since they have easily become one of my favorite shoes. But I would eventually have to find another pair of suede monk straps in a darker shade to compliment my tweed and cashmere over coats as the weather grows colder.
