The 3 Reasons Why I Love Custom Shirts

If you know me well, you know that I’ve always been more of a quality over quantity type of person. It’s probably because we are living in times where our attention spans continue to grow shorter, almost everyone is trying to get rich quick, and everything is being over saturated in one way or another.

However, not only do I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to my lifestyle, but I ebelieve in this approach when it comes to my wardrobe as well. Therefore, if I had to choose 50 “so-so” fitting dress shirts over 10 perfectly fitting custom dress shirts, I would always choose the latter of the two.

So here are my top 3 reasons as to why I love custom shirts!

1. Fit is Key!

I say it all the time but I could never say it enough. Whether it’s a 3-piece suit, a dress shirt, or even a hoodie, having the right fit is always the most important factor when it comes to looking and feeling your best.

Fortunately, some brands are doing a better at job at making sure their clothes fit well. Especially if their labeled slim, extra slim, or even tailored fit (I spoke about this in Episode 4. of Cocktails & Conversations as well).

However, some of my best fitting dress shirts have all been made-to-measure!

2. The Details

My second favorite thing about custom shirts is being able to choose and adjust all of the little details. For instance, for this shirt I chose the fabric, the cuff style, the collar, and I even added a monogram on the cuff with my initials!

It might not seem like a big deal for some people, but if you’re a detail oriented person like myself, you know the “little things” make a huge difference.

3. That Feeling!

Last but certainly not least, there is definitely a special feeling that comes from wearing custom made clothes.

It’s hard to explain but it’s a huge confidence booster knowing that your clothes was made specifically for you!

Bonus: The iTailor Price

The price of custom dress shirts usually isn’t one of my favorite things because they tend to be a lot more expensive. However, iTailor has been able to provide made-to-measure clothing without sacrificing the quality.

So just in case you were wondering, this shirt only cost $29.

Therefore, if you’re interested in going custom for the first time, this is definitely a safe investment!
