Made to Measure: Topcoats

First of all, let me apologize for my recent absence. I stepped away from the blog in order to re-assess, re-organize, and re-focus my goals for 2016. I’ve also been focusing on different ways to connect with my readers as well as new and different ways of reaching my target audience.

Recently, I have been hosting workshops about style and professionalism to young men at local colleges. My intent is to help prepare young men as they transition into life after college. I discuss what the expectations are in terms of presenting themselves in a professional setting as well as how to leave a lasting impression with potential employers. In other words, I discuss the concept of style far beyond just addressing menswear and fashion in general. My next speaking engagement will be at SUNY Buffalo State in collaboration with the Career Development Center (more on that later).
It has been a couple months since my last styling post but since then I have acquired a few new pieces that I can’t wait to share. One of my new items, is this cashmere top coat that I designed with my favorite local made-to-measure company, Bureau
This season I wanted a top coat in a versatile color, but I wanted to stay away from the typical black, grey, and navy options and since I already own a camel topcoat, I designed this 6-button, double-breasted coat in a forest green cashmere fabric. I also included peak lapels and horn buttons to really make this piece standout.
