When I start blogging back in 2013, I used to showcase my best thrift store finds because thrifting was my favorite hobby. As a result, most of my wardrobe was comprised of clothes that I found from local thrift stores.
Since then my wardrobe has grown and evolved a lot but mixing vintage and modern pieces together is still one of my favorite things. Therefore, I’ve decided to go back to my roots and start incorporating more vintage pieces into my daily outfits.
Here is how I mixed some of my vintage and modern pieces to create a casual weekend outfit!
It’s actually kind of crazy how much I used to thrift back then. I visited the same thrift stores 2-3 times a week with the hopes of finding something rare and expensive to add to my wardrobe.
I found tons of suits, blazers, shoes, and accessories for a fraction of the price and I even got them tailored to fit my body.
Ironically, I probably could have saved a lot of money on alterations if I just knew how to shop smarter, but I’ll save that discussion for another time!
Since my early days of thrifting, I’ve either sold, gifted, or re-donated a lot of those clothes. However, there were certain gems that I just couldn’t let go of.
Most people don’t even believe that I found both of these pieces at a thrift store, especially since one is modern (purchased new with tags) and the other is vintage. However, that is one of the best things about shopping in thrift stores.
You never know what you can find!
Unfortunately, the thrift stores in my area aren’t as good as the ones in Buffalo, NY but I’ll definitely start hunting more often this year.
Hopefully, I’ll have something dope to share with you all on the blog real soon!

As always, thanks for reading and good luck on your next trip to the thrift store!
