I’ve been interested in style for as long as I can remember but I’ve never really been into fashion. Therefore, when it comes to keeping up with the latest trends, colors, and silhouettes I am usually completely oblivious.
Ironically, the only times that I end up wearing something “trendy” is by coincidence. For instance, when I finally found a floral print shirt that I liked in the thrift store, it was actually trending at the time.
So here is my second attempt at trying to predict the latest trends by choosing this season’s color to wear, GREEN!
The Crew Neck Sweater
Suit by Vintage, Sweater by Banana Republic
A green crew neck sweater is one of those pieces that you will find yourself wearing all season long because it’s easy to dress it up or dress or down.
However, the perfect shade of green will make it even more versatile.
Style Tip: Try pairing it with one of your favorite wool suits or dress it down with some dark blue jeans and a pair of brown leather boots!
The Trench Coat
If you’re on the east coast you probably only have a few more weeks to wear a trench coat without freezing your a$$ off.
However, if you’re on the west coast like me, a green trench coat can easily become your go-to jacket for the season. I’ve had this one for about four years and I still receive compliments on it.
The Utility Jacket
Here is another solid lightweight outerwear option for the season.
The utility jacket also known as the M-65 field jacket has roots dating back to the Vietnam War and with Vietnam’s hot days and cold nights, this jacket was ideal.
The Money Green Suit
Suit by Bureau, Shoes by A. testoni (similar)
I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t include a green suit on this list.
I got this green suit custom made because there aren’t many green suits on the market and I just had to have one.
Actually I wouldn’t suggest you getting a green suit as you’re first custom suit (like I did), but if you want to make a statement this season, a double-breasted money green suit is the way to go!
The Green Kicks
A comfortable pair of green sneakers will definitely be a great addition to your fall wardrobe.
Ironically, I just started buying more sneakers and I think these were one of my smarter decisions because they get a lot of compliments and they’re super comfortable.
Also, don’t be afraid to break some rules and dress these up with a blazer and a pair of jeans.
As always, thanks for reading!
