In an effort to continue the “For the Love of Waistcoats” series, I wanted to provide an alternative to the usual blazer-waistcoat-trouser ensemble. Like I mentioned before, a waistcoat can enhance just about any outfit, especially during the winter when an extra layer is always needed.
This waistcoat in particular was a recent thrift store purchase that did not need any alterations. However, I think my recent weight loss played a huge factor in that. In fact, I lost about 8 pounds since the first time I wore this leather jacket. Now it fits more comfortably, even with an added layer underneath.
I purchased these double monks over a year ago and I have worn them on a consistent basis since then. However, they are still wearing well and a simple polish is all it ever needs. This just proves that quality over quantity is the way to go when purchasing shoes, even if they are purchased from a thrift store.
