If you’re anything like me, you probably hardly ever wear black shoes at all. In fact, the only time I wear black shoes is when I’m going for an all black look, and I might still even throw on a pair of brown boots instead.
Therefore, when it comes to choosing the right pair of brown shoes, it can seem a little overwhelming because there are ton of different shades, tones, and leathers to choose from.
So in order to help you make the best decision for your wardrobe, here are 5 brown dress shoes that I think every guy should own!
For starters, every guy should own a pair of brown wingtips because they are extremely versatile when it comes to suiting. I’ve worn this pair in particular with almost all of my suits and they always pair well. Basically, anytime I’m not sure about which shoes to wear, I just grab these.
Also, that cognac color always adds that extra pop of color to complete the look!
I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t add a pair of suede double monks to the list. When it comes to wearing these with trousers they are not always ideal because they tend to come off as being more casual.
However, in terms of wearing these with jeans and a blazer, these are always my number one choice!
A quality pair of tassel loafers are definitely worth the investment, especially if you’re looking for shoes that will look great with a suit or a pair of jeans. Just be sure to follow the rules if you ever decide to wear them without socks.
These woven cap-toe oxfords are not for the faint of heart, but they are definitely worth every penny. After you have all of your essentials such as a quality pair of wingtips, double monks, and tassel loafers, it’s time to get a pair of shoes that will make a statement.
And trust me, I’ve never received more compliments on any other pair of shoes!
Last but certainly not least, if you don’t have a pair of suede Chelsea boots in your closet by now, don’t worry because these are still available. Finding the right pair of Chelsea boots can be difficult because most silhouettes are either too round and casual or they’re just too sleek and formal.
As always, thanks for reading!
