Fall Selects: Black Dress Shoes Under $300

After sharing some of my favorite brown dress shoe styles, I realized that I was not alone when I said that I hardly ever wear black shoes. In fact, I received several comments and emails from guys that wanted to know where they could find some good-looking affordable black dress shoes.

Therefore, I scoured the internet to find some that I would actually wear and as usual, I ended up ordering a pair for myself in the process (more on that later).

So here are my top 5 6 black dress shoes for under $300.

Allen Edmonds Mora Double Monk Shoe, 278.90

This list wouldn’t be complete without a pair of black double monks!

Allen Edmonds really got it right with this pair because the silhouette is perfect, they’re not to sleek and not too round. You will also be able to wear these for years and years to come!

Leather Oxford Shoes, $99.90

Next, is the most affordable option on the list. You can never go wrong with a pair of black cap toe oxfords. The design is minimal and classic, therefore it’s extremely versatile.

Unfortunately, these are not made to last because you won’t be able to replace the sole on them. However, if you’re looking for an affordable pair of black shoes to wear every once in a while these are ideal!

Magnanni Cap Toe Leather Oxford, $280

Next, is the more refined alternative to the previous option. The broguing on the toe box gives it more of an elegant appeal, and due to my past experiences with the Magnanni brand, I am positive that it is worth the initial investment.

Magnanni Rigo Penny Loafer, $295

These are the most expensive shoes on the list, but they are definitely one of my favorites. It’s minimal and classic so it’s clearly my style but I really love how versatile they are. Imagine pairing these with a bold navy or grey windowpane suit.

If you can’t imagine that, just wait until my next sample arrives!

Kenneth Cole New York Cap Toe Oxford, $225

I love the pebbled leather on these cap toe oxfords. Quality leather just breaks in better over time, that’s why it’s always best to invest in a pair of quality shoes!

Calibrate Huntley Chelsea Boot, $149

You already know that I had to throw a pair of chelsea boots into the mix. The most important thing about chelsea boots is finding the right silhouette and since these are sleek and not rounded, they will go perfectly with a pair of tailored trousers or slim fitting jeans.

As always, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Yours truly,
